The People of GI Psychology
Spotlights on resilience, healing, and the exceptional people dedicated to raising awareness about brain–gut health.
“Our elementary-aged daughter worked with (her therapist) to address persistent stomach pain. Her therapist was amazing! Responsive, kind, fun and helpful, her therapist made her feel that she was in control and was the “captain of the team” that was assembled to help her (the therapist’s words). When she had questions or felt skeptical, her therapist addressed her concerns honestly and without condescension, making her feel good for asking questions and for being so involved and interested in her own health. Ultimately, the issue seems to be fully resolved, and she has good tools to use should the need arise in the future. Our whole family is grateful and we give (her therapist) and the GI Psychology team our strongest recommendation.”
