Our Founders

Dr. Tiffanny Duffing

Tiffany Duffing, PhD
President

Dr. Tiffany Duffing is a licensed clinical psychologist and U.S. Army Veteran, and she is one of the founders of GI Psychology. Driven by a passion for serving the community, she embraces roles as a clinician, healthcare administrator, and volunteer. Dr. Duffing specializes in evidence-based therapies for children (9+), adolescents, and adults, with a focus on disorders of the gut-brain interaction (DGBI), chronic pain, anxiety, and life transitions.

Dr. Duffing’s approach to patient care centers on individualized treatment plans that recognize each person’s unique strengths and values, all while working toward specific, measurable goals. This philosophy extends to her leadership of the GI Psychology team, where she fosters a goal-oriented, empathetic, and empowering environment. Having personally dealt with IBS, Dr. Duffing brings a deep, personal understanding of the challenges her patients face, which drives her commitment to increasing awareness and expanding access to effective gut-brain therapies.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Duffing actively trains providers, educates the community through events and podcasts, and builds strategic partnerships to bring gastro-psychology services to communities nationwide. She is also an Approved Consultant and trainer with the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and serves as a volunteer Board Member for the Northern Virginia Clinical Psychologists Association (NVCP).
