Dr. Betsy Gaines is a licensed Clinical Health Psychologist.

Dr. Gaines offers a warm, collaborative environment filled with hope. Drawing from over 20 years of experience in chronic pain management and various medical disorders, she provides comprehensive, holistic care tailored to those struggling with gut-brain disorders other gastrointestinal symptoms. Her approach integrates psychological insights with evidence-based medical practices to address the complex interplay between mental and physical health.

After receiving her doctorate from The Wright Institute, Dr. Gaines initially focused on working with children and their families, which enriched her understanding of developmental and emotional health. Personal experiences with chronic medical conditions deepened her appreciation for health psychology and the mind-body connection, fostering a sense of empathy that informs her practice.

Dr. Gaines specializes in developing individualized treatment plans to directly address each concern. Her extensive experience allows her to approach each situation from multiple perspectives, ensuring that her patients’ needs are not only met but exceeded. By providing education, emotional support, and practical strategies, she empowers her patients to regain control over their health and navigate their journeys toward a more joyful and connected existence. With a commitment to fostering resilience and hope, Dr. Gaines is dedicated to helping her patients thrive, even in the face of chronic challenges.

When not working with her patients, Dr. Gaines on the sidelines of her children’s’ soccer games or spending time outside. She adores meditation and mindfulness, as well as yoga and walking her dogs.

Dr. Betsy Gaines has advanced training in:
