My daughter has chronic migraine and is working with (my therapist) on cognitive behavior therapy and hypnosis for pain relief. Her neurologist has not been able to find a good preventative regimen, so she must cope with frequent headaches and migraines that keep her out of school. She is learning a lot and is starting to use her new skills to cope with the pain and regain a sense of control and agency over her body that migraines have taken from her. I sing (my therapist)’s praises to anyone who will listen!
(My therapist) was excellent in helping me improve my IBS through hypnotherapy and educating me on techniques to continue improving my overall health through the power of my mind. I realized the power in hypnosis for improvement of health conditions and that I can improve my health on my own by implementing mind over circumstances/symptoms with proper techniques, such as hypnosis. It really works! I’m continuing the techniques I’ve learned on my own and will be sharing this information with others as well.
My experience with GI Psychology and specifically (my therapist) has greatly exceeded my expectations. I have spent many years in therapy with some really fantastic psychologists and psychiatrists who are top professors and experts in their field. (My therapist) truly is a phenomenal psychologist and I would count her among the best.
I like how she works in partnership with me to figure out what I need , vs. a cookie cutter approach. I feel seen and understood.
The work I have been doing with my therapist has been life-changing. The hypnosis and the tools she has provided me to have been relatable and useful to my day-to-day IBS pain management and associated anxiety.
Our experience with (our therapist) was wonderful. My daughter thought she was really nice and enjoyed talking with her. (Her therapist) worked to come up with multiple breathing exercised to help with my daughter’s regurgitation when certain exercises didn’t work for her.
We were at the point of removing his colon until our second opinion from Hopkins suggested we explore the brain/gut connection. His therapy has been an absolute game changer.
Responsive, kind, fun, and helpful, he made her feel that she was in control and was the “captain of the team” that was assembled to help her (his words).
I LOVE working with (my therapist)! She’s been such a wonderful therapist for me. After so many false starts with other therapists over the past 8 years, I thank you for selecting her for me! As you know, she brings deep expertise in many modalities and can select the ones that are going to be best for me. I like how she works in partnership with me to figure out what I need vs. a cookie cutter approach. I feel seen and understood. She has a wonderful mix of deep empathy and practicality which I love. She is down to earth, easy to talk to and I have great trust in her.
I am grateful she had capacity to fit me in. I am doing my homework every week, and gaining confidence that with her help, there is a path out of my gastro issues. After that, we will tackle the next growth opportunity I want to take on. I am a huge work in progress and (my therapist) brings a range of skills and experience to guide me and help me achieve my goals.
